So I kinda made an impulse buy after seeing Frontier was partnered with Tactical Capital and purchased the XCR-L keymod 556. First Id like to say that Capital Tactical was great to deal with. I am all for supporting new business, new ideas and gun friendly Canadian companies. I could have purchased the rifle with my line of credit or credit card but like the idea of a fixed payment date and interest rate was a fair 5%. Application was filled in and approved within an hour or so. Daniel was very prompt with response and was great to deal with. Maybe not for "everyone" but I give Tactical Capital a A++
Next I wanna send big props to Marlin at Frontier, he was quick to answer my questions about the Keymod version of the XCR and other chit chat. I placed the order and shorty after a mix up in the order occocured. There was not Lightweight keymod in black just tan. I agreed to pay the extra and Marlin made it right by throwing in 2 free LAR15 mags. Outstanding service when I didn't even ask for a thing. Frontier Firearms gets an A++. I placed the order on the 18th and it was delivered on the 19th at 8 am...outstanding!!
This is my second XCR, I previously owned the very first gen model and really enjoyed it, this rifle is alot different and very much refined, the weight is quite noticable. Machining is very well done, trigger is decent. Only things I really dislike is the shiny black mag it comes with and the case is rather cheap. Very minor and most guys get rid of that in favor of different mags and tactical AR soft cases.
Hoping this fall it will help me shoot lots of dogs and maybe a few pigs.
