After being spoiled by my fibre optics on the CZ shadow, I'm thinking about switching the front sight on my military surplus P210 to a dawson precision fibre optic so I can shoot it more consistently. Before I ruin this work of art, I want to see if anyone has pursued this before.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Putting a fibre optic on a milsurp P210 is like putting a neon/ LED undercar light kit on a 1965 Aston Martin DB5

I think the newer "P210 legend" come equipped with LPA sights (or at least all the Xfive line and mastershop SIGs), maybe you'd want to look at LPA offering. I believe TSE is the official LPA canadian distributor..?

Personally, prefer big wide, easy to see solid black front sight for precision work.
Any color or insert just fuzzies it up and is a distraction.

I can only shoot those sights types decently at short range, under 25yds.

Do what makes you shoot better. It's your gun. I am sure what you do can be un-done if you decide to free up some cash

I took my factory sights off my Sig P210 Legend and replaced it with adjustable sights, the front dovetail is super tight and hard to fit, took a couple hours to figure the way to do without damaging it?
I think it might've best to find a Smith or good machinest to mill it out to fit the front sight you want.
Everyone is worried about your gun, but is useless to have a gun that does not work for you , so modify it to fit you! Everyone worries about re sale , like the gun is worthless if you modify it, makes me laugh:)
Handguns and sight picture is very personal to each person, only you can decide if it will improve your sight picture?
Have fun and don't worry they still make quality guns everyday if you ever want an unaltered Sig P210, it may not be the same as the Swiss model but its as close as you can get!
