Great deal on new sks mags !!!!!

Once again though, it is a 5/30. I actually don't like having a big long faux mag getting in the way. If he sold straight 5 round detachable mags I might be interested.

I would like it if they made them 20/5 length like the Tapco ones. It's nice having something to hold when inserting mag.
But I agree the 30/5 ones look weird.

not to be rude or anything ... just clarifying its 16 dollars each for a box of 12
cheaper if you buy a box of 60 then 15 dollars each

its not 16 dollars for 12 of em :)

I got two from wolverine supply and used one for first time the other day.

I experienced problems with the last round being ejected at the same time as the 4th spent casing being ejected.
Other times the last round would end up backwards in the open action, unfired.

The front of the ramp appears raised higher than it needs to be, causing the last round to urgently leap out and eject prematurely.

I really don't like the long shlong look of the 30/5 mag either. Not sure why I bought them honestly. Good price is why I guess.

I bought one of these from Wolverine. I tried it out today and found the feed lips are spread apart and allow the follower to sit too high in the mag. I was able to load 4 rds from stripper clips while the mag was inserted, but could not get the 5th rd in even loading manually. With the mag out I could load all 5 rounds no problem. The only issue is the back of the mag has a lot of material removed and the rounds can pop out quite easily.

I think a 5/20 would be better as well. Also the feed lips and top of the mag needs to be stiffed up. It is quite flexy.

Nice SKS!

A 5/10, 5/15 or 5/20 detachable mag would look the best. 5/30 is a little too much wasted space for me.

Look at this one

Thanks!^^^
Unfortunately, the Tapco stock just bothered me too much at the end of this particular day of shooting. Looked good, but was very clunky and uncomfortable.

I pulled my Chinese SKS out of it and tossed the stock in a pile in my garage. :(

I put the Chinese in my Monte Carlo stock, like you also have. That stock feels solid and great.

I then took my 1950 Tula which was in the Monte Carlo before, and returned it to original form. (All matching, non refurb)
