I acquired this shotgun on the weekend without knowing much at all about it. It seems like a very well made shotgun, and despite google searches on the name, I cannot find much information about it or the value.
If anyone can help me out with what I have, it would be much appreciated, thanks.

The gun looks to be in nice condition made by a Belgian firm sporting prince of wales stock, side clips and greener cross bolt. Can you remove the barrels and post a pic of the proof marks. It might tell us more.

Ok thanks I will check tonight. I am new to doubles, how would I remove the barrels? thanks.

Push the button at the end of the forearm and pull the forearm away from the barrels. It will be hooked on a lug on the bottom of the barrels and pushing the button in releases it from the lug. Then open the barrels and you will be able to lift them from the action. Do not pull the triggers once you have the barrels off or you might have to recock it some how to get the firing pins to retract back into the action . The underside of the barrels are called the barrel flats and there should be proof marks etc. on there.

It tells us that it is a 12 gauge with 2 3/4" chambers proofed for smokeless loads with 18.2 mm bores or 0.716" and has some degree of choke. If the letter above the PV is a G with a star above it, that is for inspector Josef Charlier who was at the proof house from 1928 to 1959. The cursive above the G is for the year but I can never make them out.

I think the cursive symbol on there is for 1951, from what I have been reading. I can't seem to find any reference to how much a shotgun like this would be worth, it seems to be in excellent shape and very well made.
