Owners of restricted firearms will be pleased, restrictions will be significantly loosened.
Possibly (that is a big IF) they might make long barrel AR's non-restricted. Hoping anything that is more than 18" will be non-restricted.

If I'm not mistaken, its actually the criminal code and accompanying regulations which relegate the AR-15 to a restricted classification

Further to this it's partly because of organizations like the DCRA etc that the AR didn't go 12(x) like all the rest of the evil baby killing "assault guns".

Does Homestead not allow restricted? It goes out to 900m. Edson fish and game goes out to 1600m and is supposed to be open July 1 (Today). I haven't heard anything about them not allowing restricted. I just got a lifetime membership there for my ATT and that was part of the discussion. I think there are lots of ranges that go past 100m and allow restricted. That is a sweet rifle, to bad we cant hunt with that bad boy!

Public Homestead range is Non-Restricted only. IIRC the private area allows Restricted.
