Colt Canada rifles to the public?

So, at this price point what do these rifles have that my 2,250$ KAC 16'' SR-15 doesn't other than the maple leaf and the fancy plastic furniture and the rubber butt pad?

At that price they could at least offer all the ambi features so they feel like A2's (I understand the green paint issue). Rational buyers will go somewhere else because they realize they can get a lot more bang for that kind of buck and emotional buyers will be grimly satisfied.

For some inexplicable reason I don't like the company Dimaco but having used a C7a1, C7a2 and C8a2 at home and deployed this seems like a reasonable price to me. I don't know a lot about ARs outside of the C7 family (never rubbed a Noveske or KAC) but I've seen C7s take serious abuse from idiots throwing them, dropping them, smashing them, taking them apart putting them back together and dry firing them thousands of times and they hold up really well and remain accurate. The CF issue rifles (not sure if these civilian ones are built to the same specs) hold up really well.

On a very good day I can get 4-5 rounds inside one of those little sticky target patches (what are they, 1 inch?) at 100 meters with a rifle that's been abused since 1989 or 1991 and scope from 1997.

I'm not sure how that compares to the top of the line ARs but I found them solid.

They are definitely tough little machines. They do rust rather easily because after the idiots are done throwing them, dropping them, and smashing them they clean the dirt off with knives and steel wool so they can return them to the RQ for early dismiss. However, it is a battle I will win in the long run. One indignant speech at a time.

Did the pre-order for the carbine with OSTS.
I was hoping that it would come with the green furniture.
I think its priced a little high though, but I want a Colt Canada AR.
I wonder how long they will be selling to the public.

M16A4 clone AR15A4 from Colt USA $1500

C7 clone SA20 from Colt Canada $2100

hmmmm....

Had it been the IUR or have one of those new fore ends it might be worth it.

Diemaco rifles are not built to any higher standard.

Don't forget, we used to believe AR's were $2000+ because we were fed the Import fee, duty fee, taxes, shipping, blah , blah line for years. Now we know AR's are not 50% more because of that, thanks IRUNGUNS.

This Rifle is made in Ontario, there are no duties, import fees, government forms, long waits , etc. This Rifle should be $1100 - $1300 like the rest of the plain jane rifles out there. Period.

Are they using our tax dollars to sell us Rifles we paid for? LOL

Sorry. Edit: I have started to look around at what kind of AR's you can get for $1500-$1800. Noveske. KAC. BCM. PWS. Hundreds less. By Far the Colt is Not Worth Even Close to $2200.

$2100 lolololololololol......lololol
For a $1400 bone stock AR15...
If CC wanted apeice of the market they should have done c7a2 clone. Easy to see no ones listening.

Way to expensive for very little. IUR would be worth that but it's made in Canada so it should be way less. Somebody is making a killing on these. Someone justify the cost on these for me. Because I'm not seeing it. A DD comes in at a way better price point to name a few. For that money I would rather get another SR15!

And yet they will all be presold in the next 48 hours, with a 93 year waiting list, then sold on the EE for 3000$

yah, don't laugh, just wait...
