Has anyone actually used the shotmaxx timer, curious about, one, how available are they in Canada? Two, if used in airsoft sensitivity mode will the timer pick up hammer drop when dry fire practicing? Likely most concerned for home practice. Any opinions out there? Cheap guy here, would like the be sure it would work before ordering online, and finding it not as I expected.

I have one.
It's great. They recently added the spy mode which works great, I use my own timer at matches to see my time.
For personal practice is very convenient, for groups, it is not, as you have to either give the watch to the shooter or turn the mic on, which is very sensitive and grabs neighbouring noises.

I totally recommend it.

Thanks for the input, have you ever used it for dry fire practice? That is my main interest at this point. Thanks

We sell them and they are fantastic. They will not work for dryfire. The timer had two methods to pick up a shot: 1 accelerometer to detect recoil and 2: microphone . It will work on an airsoft actually firing.

In accelerometer mode, you can shoot right next to someone else and it will only pick up your shots which is awesome.

Check out this video, seems like dry fire to me.. Are you sure it will not hear the hammer drop in airsoft mode?

Let me know what you think.

Video doesn't work. I have tried dryfire with airsoft and rear firearms and it does not pick it up nor is it advertised to do so. I guess if your hammer dropping made a loud enough noise with the microphone set to max sensitivity, it "may" work in some instances. I wouldn't order one expecting it to work for dry fire however.

You can still do dryfire practice. You just set up par time and it will beep when that time is up. I do it all the time. If you are hoping to pick up splits, I am not aware of any timer that will pick that up reliably.

We just got in TWO of the new Shotmaxx timers with the new White face. We have one of the black face left in stock.

Gold characters on Black Display is ideal for most outdoor and under direct sunlight shooting.

Black characters on White Display is more suitable for indoor with poor light conditions.

The reviews have been great on these. I ordered the white face one from you guys today to compliment my RU Ready timer. I have a feeling the RU Ready timer will be collecting dust.

By the way has anyone tried the white faced one outdoors in sunlight? I suspect it must still be readable just not as much as the black face one?

Wow! Already have a tracking number and package is expected to arrive this Thursday! Nice to see a dealer who cares about it's customers. Thanks!

We aim to please! We have one Black Face one left in stock and more on order from DAA. We also are bringing in the new screen protectors and silicone covers. Be sure to update your firmware when you receive the watch before using it.
