We are having a WRAS/IDPA shoot 6 July at Spruce Grove gun club. Registration starts at 10 AM, Safety Briefing at 1030, shooting starts at 11 AM and is finished by 5 PM. 8 stages, I am getting the info put on the WRAS website. Only 20 spaces. Email me at robertpaddon@hotmail.com to pre-register.

We had 9 shooter today. So we practiced the classifier and counted that as Stage 1 (90 rounds). Then we did 7 other stages. I think we went through at least 200 rounds each, shooting, steel, paper and those dreaded attacking zombies. Great fun and we were done by 4 PM.

No BB certification required for IDPA that is an IPSC thing.

You need a hip holster, non drop offset and two mag pouches and a concealment garment that is all.

I would bring at least 4 magazines just to help with courses with multiple strings of fire.

What do you use for a concealment garment with a hip holster?

Yup shirt, jacket, fleece, pullover, fishing vest. Whatever you want. It just needs to conceal it, it' ok if the holster etc. "prints"

Next shoot is 20 July at WRAS. Pre-registration is required. Email me if you want to come. Robertpaddon@Hotmail.com

Kanada Kidd - I liked the video. If you can't laugh at your sport you are too serious. Yes some of the IDPA rules are weird. Let me run 15 feet behind cover so I can initiate a reload.

Lets face the fact, this is not about tactics. Its just a different sport with a different set of rules. Some make sense, some don't. Either way trigger time is fun time, no matter what sport you shoot.

Yes these cartoons are hilarious!

I shot an IDPA match once, I thought it was okay, I would do it again. It's similar to what ipsc was in the late 70's.
