Here is the Norinco I bought from CanadaAmmo and the target. The smaller group is 14 rounds, and the larger is 21 rounds. This was fired at 10 yards. I would say this 45 is pretty darn accurate. A few fliers obviously shooter error. :D

yeesh, good thing the norc's can't shoot eh!!!! Nice shooting whether it was the gun , or You!!
P.S. hope nobody ever tries to rob your place. They better run 1000 f/s, cause you can sure shoot.

I have a full sized chrome one. It looks good and shoots well.

The front sight is chromed. I prefer a black front sight. So I filed/ground the chrome off the front of it so I could blue it. This was quite the chore. The chrome is very hard and quite thick.

That 1911 is doin' exactly what it was designed to do. And Norinco got that one right!

Good shooting.

Thanks for the compliments guys, now I just have to adjust the sights. I forgot to bring my Lyman screwdriver set to the range. These were reloads I did on my Lee Classic Turret Press, and consisted of 5.4 gr. of Unique and 230 roundnose bullets from my Lee mold. I'm pretty happy with this combo.:dancingbanana:

Its not the sights its you. Low left is a classic flinch. Its not "good shooting" its a case of a heavy SA gun doing what they do best, cover up poor form.

Yeah, well aware of this shooting problem TDC, it can be a trigger control problem. In this case it's not a flinch, nor jerking the trigger. I've shot thousands of rounds in IPSC, military shoots etc., so not a rookie. Three different people shot this 45acp, one of them a provincial level champion who told me just how bad the trigger was  . If all three of us were flinching, it was excellent flinching.

Call it as I see it. 1911's are very good at covering up bad form, its what makes them so popular. Complaining about the trigger is a classic sign of not knowing and/or understanding the fundamentals of marksmanship. Unless that pistol was shot from a rest to produce those groups, the error is likely shooter related.

Is that the 230gr TC? My favourite .45 bullet too; especially as it can be bought in a 6-cavity mould. What diameter do you size it to, and have you chronoed this load? I'm looking at getting away from my current std load (Lee 230gr TC @ 0.450", 3.5gr Trail Boss) because it's quite dirty, and I'd love a clean load with Unique because I came to respect it in 9mm (Lee 120gr TC with 4.3gr Unique; feeds well and quite clean) and I LOVE how it meters compared to Trail Boss.

Sorry; just actually read your post...

But but 1911s are the most bestest ever. And norincos are the best examples of the bestest pistol ever. I've shot one, it shot like phased plasma rifle.

Yeah it's the round nose mold, seems to shoot very well. In any case I'm happy with it. As you can see it shoots very well.

I think he said his sights were off, didn't see him complaining about the trigger? Like someone else said, if he's flinching, he's flinching pretty consistently.

Op, nice groups at 10 yards. Fix the sights and post some new target sheets please.

Nice groups, low left but always consistent… hmmm considering the grouping id say its the sights… mine did the same thing, had to play around with the sights, now its pretty good. indoor range at 25 yards, eats up the target real good..
