Lately, I'm seeing a slew of different brakes/comps come on the market. Is this just every company trying to get another product out or are we actually seeing some advances in performance here. I've tried my hand at a few different models of brakes/comps, but I'm still not satisfied. This new Lantac brake has my attention, same with an MB556k if I can find one. Currently I'm running a Dlask A6 brake that I find good, but not great.

What are your thoughts on top tier brakes/comps for rapid shot after shot accuracy as far as mitigating as much of the mechanical aspect of the rifle as possible. Obviously the majority of it is in the hands of the shooter so lets not turn this into a "well if you're an experienced shooter you don't need those doo dads." Lets stay on the track of part performance.

I don't think there is an "end all, be all". These days I am pretty happy with a Griffin Armament M4SDII comp.

I have FSC556, Triad and recently picked up a M4SD comp. I like the FSC556 but the M4SD was a really nice surprise. Muzzle climb was really well controlled doing 2 and 3rnd bursts stayed well on target.

I've tried most the big name stuff and I end up going back to duh duh duh A2 half birdcage

I think you are looking at two very good brakes (Lantac/MB556K). I've been running a MB556K for years, and have been happy. I think you'd be splitting hairs between those two brakes. After that, you need to get into the gas system, spring, buffer, and BCG weight to further mitigate recoil.

Have the Griffin M4SDII Flash Comp on both my 14.5 and 12.5" ARs and no complaints. Steady 2-3 round rapid shots are easily attained and the report is very very low compared with other brakes i've seen.

Can't speak for the others, but I put the Lantac Dragon on my CQB competition AR. My moving double taps went from three inches to almost touching... It is loud, though not as bad as some.

My shooting partner also mounted a Dragon and had similar results.

CTCS (sponsor site) gets them in frequently, and prices are pretty close to US MSRP...

Some good Youtube vids on the Lantac Dragon and others. I just got my Lantac Dragon in the mail yesterday from CTCS. Looking forward to trying it out. Some good comparison vids too. Check out the tuneable Effin-A brake also. Lots of good choices out there.

PWS FSC556 is great all around.

If you don't care about flash maybe wait until you can find a Surefire Pro Comp Brake. Same Brake as the MB556 without the ability to mount a suppressor. It is suppose to be around $59 US.
