Ruger M77/17 barrel swap

Going to swap my 17 mach 2 barrel on my Ruger M77/17 to the 22LR. Yes it has the V-Block. Other then swapping the barrels over is their anything else that should be done?

Nope. If you can't find a 77 or 96 barrel you can use a 10/22 barrel if you cut a groove in the left side of the barrel for the extractor

I believe the 17 Mach 2 and the 22 LR mags are the same.

Just tighten the vee block evenly making sure the extractor cuts line up with the closed bolt... the magazines work with either cartridge.

The 77-22 does not use a mag follower. It uses a detachable magazine.
