After a stupid long wait for transfer approval....

And not an hour after it showed up at the door, I got an email from Presscheck Ventures telling me the .50 beowulf mags were back in stock :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

Its a bushmaster XM15, 11.5" barrel. Got the thing BNIB for $875. Yup, 875 bucks for a 1400 rifle.

Not much else to say, I just haven't bragged online about a new gun in a while :p
Anyone with upgrade suggestions maybe? Its bone stock right now. And I have zero hands-on experience...for now.

Cheers

First to go is the grip. Thinking of putting an NEA compact carbine stock at some point. Also need a rail and flaming pig i'm thinking. And optics of course. Yeesh. gonna climb back to 1400 reaaalllll quick.

Congrats man...nice gun at an even nicer price! Now with the money that you saved, you can dress it up a bit and still keep it under the retail price. I would put a nice quad-rail on it, along with a Magpul stock, grip and vertical foregrip, and then pick up a few extra mags.

It's a blank canvas...modify to suit. That's the beauty of it...

yup, been shopping around for a quad rail too.
This thing is like a Jeep, modification possibilities seem endless. I predict my wallet won't be happy by the end of the summer...
But yah, getting such a good deal on the gun is going to make it easier to digest.

I like the thin hand guards the best, you should keep it that way. I thoroughly enjoy the angle on my BCM Gunfighter Gip. I got the 20$ one. The cheekwell on the SOPMOD and B5 Systems stock is outstanding. The B5 is 50$.

Essentials: One-point sling attachment and sling and optic in case you want to join any of the sporting disciplines. Then shoot a little (like a 1000 rounds) in a day and see if trigger guard and/or pistol grip feel comfortable in your hand - if not, change them.
BTW - nice buy...

The grip already feels weird and I haven't even shot it, so its getting switched for sure.

First off sweet buy second I'm in agreement with 1MOA and Yohann160. I'm down for a slim handguards that allow modularity, that being said I like troy stuff, but I'm not a fanboy and a there's just sooooooooooooo many options man. The jeep analogy was spot on. Have fun with it

Nice rifle! Shoot the rifle first and when you want a real improvement get Geissele trigger.

Agreed. I know they are a bit pricey but it was the best modification I did to my AR. I got the SSA and never looked back! My stock trigger was around 8 pounds. It was brutal. The SSA has a 2 stages which is really nice for distance shots. On the action range it's butter. This guy on the range had never shot an AR before, so I let him try it out and do a few double taps. Trigger was so smooth he was able to shoot 2 rounds but it sounded like one!
