So just got my first AR...

When it comes to the quad rails, unless you're rocking lights/lasers/bells/whistles you should be fine to just attach a single rail onto the grips you've got if you wanted to add a foregrip of some kind, but it's your rifle and your call.

Changing the stock and pistol grip are for sure good calls, and with the short barrel you'll appreciate that flaming pig.

As far as optics go, I'd rock something like a EOTech or Aimpoint (I use the poor mans version, the Bushnell TRS-25 which is also an awesome optic) so you can cowitness with your fixed front post.

Can't comment on your trigger as I haven't even tinkered on my own.

Thats the best I can do at midnight on a tuesday :

First to go is the grip. Thinking of putting an NEA compact carbine stock at some point. Also need a rail and flaming pig i'm thinking. And optics of course. Yeesh. gonna climb back to 1400 reaaalllll quick.

She's a beauty for your first AR and I wouldn't do to much bling, bling to her till you've consumed a thousand rounds or so over those lovely iron sights. Then have at her, but you won't get a more classic look and feel than the original XM177E2 barrel length Colt Commando. I'd hate to see her looking any different.;)

Remington makes a fine AR15. I picked up a 20" match Bushmaster A3 in the last 6 months and was quite impressed with the quality...cerro forge receivers, F front sight, nice barrel, and the single stage trigger was not too bad either.

I joined the AR team today. Dominion Arms 14.5 inch plain jane. Think with all the modded ones out there mine will stay old school for now. plus I love the mil sights as I trained with them. Congrats to the OP on your purchase.
