The wife is a member at the local club I will be in October after I take there safety course. Does her ATT cover my guns? ( she has one i have three) I was told by the CFO back in May that her ATT covers my hand guns as well but one of the trainers at the club is saying the CFO is wrong. Just put another call in to the CFO so I probably won't get an answer till next week.

Thanks.

Just recently received my ATT and is states.

" All restricted firearms registered to the residence of the authorized holder."

Check the exact wording of her ATT. Some list specific firearms, some specify all firearms registered to the person, some specify all firearms registered to residence of the person, and some specify all firearms to which the person possesses the registration certificates. That last point is what you want, it's what my ATT says, if your wife's says something different she is being treated like a second class citizen. It doesn't matter who or where they are registered to, if I have the registration certificate I can transport them.

In ontario they often try to sell you ATTs that specify all firearms registered to the residence, so that you can transport your spouse's firearms, but even that is less than you should be getting.

So you took the time to talk to your CFO and you're worried because Joe Blow say he's wrong?

I'll just jump on an Internet forum to sort this out. :p

I know you got your answer, but just for clarity's sake, for her ATT to cover your firearms assuming everything else is in order, she needs to be the one transporting the firearms.

I see you have your answer anyways but for clarification..Im pretty sure its registered to your address. So assuming you and your wife live in the same household (which Id assume you do) then theres nothing illegal about it.
