I recently got my new XL650 press. Knew I was bench mounting and didnt want to pay for a piece of bent plate aka the strong mount, and honestly think it just puts a lot of unattractive bulk on your bench.... So I spent the day with a buddy building the "Strongester Bloody Mount You Can Build For 28 Bucks". I like the idea of bringing the press forward so that you can work around the whole tool. It should make working on the machine much more comfortable.
Here she is after welding it up:
After Painting:
After Mounting to the table:
And a couple shots after mounting the press:
It's as stable as the earth itself, and has zero movement while cranking that handle, I built and painted it myself for 28 bucks, and unlike a strong mount, I'm fairly sure you could mount a Buick on it and it wouldnt groan.
Once I get the whole press set up, I'll post pics of the whole table on the Reloading Bench thread.
Party on guys.
