Just wondering if anyone knows the production line dates of the Ruger Charger and the M&P 15-22p?
Iirc the 15-22p was only one year, 2010.
If these guns are no longer in production. Could there be grounds for a change to the criminal code?

I see where you're going with this but we all know that will never happen. Our confuddled laws work against us in some instances and work for us in others. If the LAR-15 pistols should some day be discontinued what kind of changes to the law do your foresee for all those LAR 10 round mags?

If you chose to do nothing, then nothing will happen. Im putting an effort to make the bx25 and bx25x2 legal.
I just found out about the chiappa 22upper that also needs to be pinned.
Its funny that people went off the deepend with the CZ and the Highriver rcmp issues.
However most just complained. Its too bad CGN members dont ban together and try to bring light and change to these issues.
I know ots alot easier to whine on here than to actually put forth the hours and try to make a change.
If I was a lawyer, Id be happy to start a movement but since I dont know where to start, I can only do what I can about the Ruger mags.
I offered to help anyone who has mags being held by customs, but didnt hear from anyone.
Atleast I tried.

I get where you are going with this, but I'm going to tell you why I'm not supporting you, and please do not take this personally.

I fear that this could backfire, and instead of getting BX-25 legalized, we will see Butler Creek, Battledyne, Pro-Mag, and any other 10/22 25 rd mag that could fit the charger also added to the prohib/pin list.

It's because they advertise the bx25 as being for the 10/22 OR the charger. As far as the law is concerned, the two firearms are not the same, and take different magazines. That's why you can use a GSG 110 round drum on your charger, because it's marketed as being for the 10/22 only. Technically the way the mags fit/lock into the two different guns is different, i think there's a little pin on the charger mag or something, but I can't remember exactly off the top of my head.

If thats the case. Then there should be a pin on every aftermarket mag because you and I both know all banana mags work with the charger and rifle family.

It has nothing to do with what guns they work in. The law specifically states its based on which gun they were designed for and the BX mags were designed and advertised as being pistol mags.

You really need to be carefull what you ask for.
You don't want to be the one responsible for getting butler creek etc pinned to 10.
