Looking for my first centerfire pistol. I expect I will get one 1911 in 45ACP to collect and maybe one 9mm for plinking. Out of the 9mms I tried out of the store I really liked the CZ. Can't explain it. Just felt good.

I did notice that being a small handed guy the grip felt a bit bulky. When held with both hands not so much but not nearly as nice as some of the 1911's I handled included some Kimbers and a Colt.

Can any one recommend an aftermarket grip for the CZ that might thin it out a bit for smaller hands for not change the rest of the handling of the gun significantly?

That Kimber Gold Match they had as a used gun at epps for some $1200 or so felt fantastic! Fit just like a glove! They didn't have a Colt Gold Cup National Match for me to compare.

Single stack Colts are quite a bit thinner than double stack 9mm...
Czcustom.com sells thin aluminum grips. They may be available up here. Check dealers who specialize is IPSC.

I tried getting grips from czcustom, and the amount they charge for shipping is effing bonkers. They wanted $40 just to ship, on ~$50 grips. Check out amazon or ebay. Sometimes you can get VZ Grips for the CZ for about $75 and they're really, really nice.

Next time your going to sharon swing by rouge river arms and ask Chris to try out a pair of thin grips, he has a couple czs in the store that he has them on, or come by provincails any day but Saturday and I'll be there with my cz and you can take a look at it

A guy at work made me some thicker zebrawood grips for my CZ75b, when I had it. I had the opposite problem, the grip felt too small for me. Ended up selling the pistol with those grips. The plastic grips that came on my CZ were really thin, unsure what you have. If the thickness of the grip is too fat, you may be better off getting another pistol.

Hated those ugly plastic grips:

Custom Wood, thicker and felt much better, they weren't perfect, but they worked for me:

It was a very nice, accurate pistol. Sold it as I liked the Sig 226 platform better.
