I just discovered that there is such a beautiful thing but have never seen or heard of them in Canada. Not sure when they were produced but any chance any made it up here?

Stole this pic from Marlin owners forum, sweet jeabous that is a dandy!

Haven't seen any of the 38-55 336CB's in Canada but Marlin has marketed a Model 1895CB in 45-70 for quite a few years, lots of them in the country but not a lot for sale, once someone acquires one they keep it.
From the pics I've seen, the only discernible difference between the two guns is caliber and the 336CB barrel stamp.

Yes but a Cowboy model in 30-30 just sounds about right. Kind of a through back to the 1893's and besides 30-30 is more then enough for anything I want to shoot in Ontario. Now if they came out with a 35 Rem now that would just about do it for me!

I've seen one 336CB in 30-30 for sale on the EE, but that was probably about 4 years ago. I missed out on it :( I'm sure you could pick one up in the US and have it exported for maybe not much more than the 1895CBs are selling for now-a-days ($1000ish)... well, maybe a bit more... but it would be worth it!
