Anybody sell degreased sks?

Leaving the stock in non direct sunlight on a hot day helps it ooze out. Hot water works well for cleaning too.

Wherever you buy it from, buy two!
They're dirt cheap and built like a tank to just keep going and going.

YouTube cosmoline removal, you'll find many ways that work. I used varsol and boiling water, took me 30-40 min tops. Strip it all apart and put all the small parts in a plastic container fill with varsol and soak for 30 min, wipe dry and pour hot water over parts and re dry. Take a bucket and pour boiling water through the barrel with a funnel from the chamber end, then the action. Wear gloves, make sure everything is good and dry, clean and oil like normal and re assemble. Pretty easy and you now know the inner workings and how to field strip an sks.
 
I was browsing your threads and heard some very good things about your business! Id like to know if you have or are planning to obtain any unissued impeccable examples..id be willing to pay a hefty premium for an unissued russian sks.

Long gone are the unissued Russians. Everything you see for sale now is refurbished to some degree. Best bet for close to original is an unsanded wood stock 55/56, with mostly original matching numbers, and some electro pencil marked parts.

TradeEx. Bought many milsurps from them, including a Russian SKS, and none had any cosmo on them.
Just one of the many great things about TradeEx.
 
Vast majority coming in have no cosmo on them and they are individually boxed. This is what I've seen locally, may be different in other parts of the country. Sounds like TradeEx has the same ones... I was told at the local C.Tire that they come preassembled into Tapco stocks and they no longer stock the wood ones because, "Nobody was buying them".
 
next one i get i'm stripping it and taking it to work and throw it in the varsale tub then the sonic cleaner we have for tranny parts and there ya go.
 
Canadian Tire in Welland, Ontario sells nicely cleaned SKS rifles already fitted with aftermarket Timbersmith stocks.

They cost $399, but damn they look nice.
