Cadex Defense Chassis

Hi guys!

I was fortunate to obtain one of these Chassis last week. As soon as I opened the package it was apparent this wasn't a garden variety Chassis system. Very well built and designed! And very comfortable to shoot!

I installed a Rem700 Sendero barreled action in 7mm Rem Mag into the Chassis.




This is the first group at 600 Yards:


This is the second group at 600 yards:


I was very, VERY, pleased to say the least! The best this barreled action would do at this range before was around 5-6.5"!
The Chassis is showing some serious potential so far! I can hardly wait to get some shooting at 200,300,4,5,7,8,9,1000+ yards!

What has been your experiences with this Chassis system? Any quirks, issues?

I got the Chassis from one of our local gunshops.

I was surprised that they had one! They are very comfortable when you get behind them. I can hardly wait to give a bigger tryout!
 
Nice... Cadex is definitely nice kit. One minor suggestion: Just watch the bolts that hold the rail to the action. I have found them loosen up a bit and it is a pain to torque them with my borka as the driver bits aren't really long enough. Probably just me and my non-mechanically inclined nature.

Yeah, I ususally hang out here but the other day CGN was down for me at least, couldn't get on all day so I had to spend some time over at Snipers Hide and not just lurk...
I did not get that one... I think it had the older muzzle break if I'm not mistaken. I bought mine brand new from PGW direct.

Lol, I just happen to have picked up this tac21 chassis a few weeks ago. Nothing like supporting our canadian tactical companies!


This is the first group at 110 yards with the MDT TAC21:

Its not 600+, but that load will be tested at 600+ when I get a chance.

So far both chassis are shooters! Lots of shooting to do, and so little time!
 
The only thing about the Tac21 setup I have that I would like to change, is the length of pull. I was a bit suprised that that the prs was that long. Its only about an inch longer than I would like, but just enough to make the chassis seem a little too front heavy.
 
Wow, never noticed how long it was. I guess there's that, and the fact that in the MDT, the bolt is locked into the chassis/action and there are a few extra steps when you tear it down for cleaning.

We've been working hard in the past few months to open new dealers so that Canadians could see and hold in hand some chassis before they buy. Plus, most of our dealers are retailing their chassis for cheaper than the Cadex webstore. To us our webstore is only the ultimate solution not to lose the customer if he didn't receive the level of customers service expected from his local dealer and he still wants to buy our products. Some customers seem to think that they will get a better customer service or level of knowledge by buying directly from us, I can assure you that you'll get my full support from inside the factory even if you buy from our dealer network.

If one was looking for a chassis in a particular color and wasn't able to find it...can you guide us to the dealer that may have that model/color in stock? and if not can we put in the request/order through you and have it sent to a current Cadex dealer of our choice for purchase through them???

specifically - I would really like a Field Strike in OD but cannot find one anywhere. Do you know if anyone has one in stock? If there are none out there right now, what is the lead time and should I ask my preferred dealer to order one or just wait? is the delay just in finding the related Magpul parts in the proper colors?
