I am looking for an Op Rod Guide for my Norc M14.

I checked all over the place, Marstar would have been my best bet but they didn't have any :(

Almost all efforts brought up US sights with very expensive US parts.

I don't want to buy some fancy $75 made of titanium using American Freedom machinery part (plus American shipping and handling if they even ship up here) lol

Just a cheap old Norinco Spare Op Rod Guide for cheap old Norinco M14.

Anyone know of any dealers of local stores carrying spare Norc parts?

Any help would be appreciated.

Your best bet would be to put a WTB ad on the EE. There really isn't anywhere that stocks norinco parts. "Extra" norinco parts don't really exist. I believe a USGI guide may fit but maybe someone else can confirm that. I don't mean to be nosey but why would you need a spare op rod guide?

Long story lol
I put a little too much elbow grease on the punch while trying to remove it so I could align it properly with my barrel/gas system etc
She is bent and the op rod will not fit through her anymore :(
Ah...life lessons learned the hard way eh?
WTB add up!

about 20 years ago Milarm in Edmonton had a huge amount of Norinco spare parts he was selling. The then owner told me they were stripped off of Federal Ordanance firearms. Ownership has changed since then, but they may still have some of them.

Good to read you're set up Travis. Just wanted to show you that there is a second option in the marketplace.

The M14.ca NORG or "New Operating Rod Guide" offers the following improvements over a traditional ORG.

1. The ability to add side screws for retention with conventional M14/M1A stocks
2. The ability to squeeze grease into a releif cut in the oprod channel (self-lubrication)
3. The option to add our coiled spring pin for additional retention
4. The ability to add 3 set screws to the top of NORG for perfect alignment
5. The larger NORG offers a greater surface bearing area over the barrel boss
6. With our SHG, the NORG offers a 4th leg of support over the length of the forward rail (A secondary benefit for customers running the SHG)

[Note: the NORG is for conventional M14/M1A rifle stocks only. Some inletting may be required. Contact us for further details.]

For anyone else in this pickle, the M1A one is a compatable option... Brownells... Really not that expensive... But I guess if you factor in shipping it's not so attractive if you need just the one item.
