So, I been thinking of picking up a STI Trojan in .40 S&W to compete in classic division (major). I already own a Trojan in 9mm with 4000 rounds down the barrel and the pistol has been rock solid reliable to date. I'm hoping to hear the .40 cal is just as reliable. Who has one and any reliability issues with the .40 S&W cartridge?
Rock Island Armory (Armscor) makes a 1911 .40 cal as well. SAM's in .40 I've been told to run away from regardless of the price! The only other .40 cal in my price range is Dlask Arms. Opinions by people with first hand knowledge would be appreciated. As for the .45 ACP cartridge, the ammo is just too costly
