Locktite aint a bad idea on a big thumper. Things love to come loose, although I see yours is ported.

I have owned two ported guide guns and two non ported, in the real world there is hardly any difference shooting the two side by side (and yes, I have done it). They are both loud period, but not unbearable. Wear earplugs with either when you can.

Agreed, loud either way. I felt the ports did help with muzzle jump.
Gotta love the muzzle blast though,
