I'm debating on either purchasing a Remington r1 1911 or the Norinco 1911. Price doesn't matter to me. Which is more reliable and more accurate?

l dont have a Remington but do have a NorInco and a Smith and Wesson 1911. The Norc is fun but doesnt match the Smith. Between the two l would say the Remington will be the better of the two. My vote is go with the Remington.

Or get both . :D

Best all around value has to be the SR1911. I was looking and almost bought the R1 Stainless. I ended up with the Ruger mostly because of the enhanced options. Its right out the box accurate. Only issue I had was one of the mags needed some breaking in. It won't be my last 1911 and I'm happy it was my first.

The Remmy R1 has a much, much nicer fit and finish than the Nork. I have owned both and still own an R1. They are very nice pistols for the money.

Have had several norcs...still got a commander, and it shoots great..but in all honesty I'd spend a few more bucks and get something with better finishing....norcs work for sure, eventually you'll just lust after something a little more refined...

Norc vs Remington?

Of the two, go for the Remington, even if it has a firing pin block safety system in it.

NAA.

I looked at a rem r1 GI. It was a complete pos. slide to frame fit was horrible, bushing was loose, and the slide had a huge overhang at the rear over the frame. And the finish was nothing to brag about. Not worth 800. Not even close. Go with the SAM.

ive got a SR1911 and a SR1911 CMD and they are flawless.

if your looking at a Remington R1 save yourself the headache and pitch in the extra money and get the Remington R1 Enhanced, it comes out of the box with everything youd ever want to put on your gun.

This is a good point if you want a gun with all the bells and whistles. If you are looking for a GI gun, then the plain vanilla R1 will do. That being said, the R1 is a good platform to customize if you choose to do so. Mine is covered with Wilson Combat stuff.
