What is the current opinion on the contents of the Remington BO'B?
The Winchester 333,555 stuff is erratic at times for FTF.
The Remington Thunderbolt goes bang but varying powder loads.

I want the Blaser as it is consistent but no where in stock as of yet. But I want to shoot too.
The BO'B ammo is a slightly different flavour of the Thunderbolt, copper jacket instead of waxed lead.
Online reviews are everywhere 0 to 5. Don't want to drop $70, with tax, and have to frat around just to shoot.

I think it is hugely depend on the firearm you will be using it in. My M&P 22 has zero issue with this ammo. Little bit dirty but goes bang every time, well, almost every time. Maybe 5 FTF/E out of the bucket of 1400 rounds.

It's a bit dirty and the golden coating comes off a bit easier than I'd like. Accuracy was ok, reliability depended strongly on the firearm.

Edit: I have two extremely picky 22s the rest cycled well. I'd rate the BOB 7/10 based on price and performance

May I ask where you have found the buckets for 70$ plus tax? :) Ive also been wanting to try, my glock conversion eats the Remington Golden bullets no problem, I think there pretty similar, IMO most remington ammo is cheap and dirty but eh, Cheap is nice!

I bought a bucket from triggers and bows in Brantford 70$ plus tax, shot in Remington 552 viper no ftf fte / Remington 597 no ftf fte / GSG 1911 no ftf fte / Bretta Neos no ftf fte and a few others I am forgetting. Works great the gold rubs off on your hands and is oily but they work.

It is at Lebarons in Ottawa and it was $63ish plus tax
Assume TO would have it too but you never know.

Its better than the winchester crap

Good plinking ammo and its accurate enough.

Definitly on the dirtier side but I don't care about that

works great in my Marlin 795, very dirty, 4 FTE in 450 rounds.
Not the best ammo around, I paid about 60$ after tax at a TSC sale a while back.
1.5" group at about 60 yards is good enough for the price.

Shoots oddly well in my Winchester Wildcat/TOZ 78. Can group around 1.25" @ 50yds. Most bulk ammo is hard to get under 2" in this rifle and I have to buy premium ammo to get it under 1".
My 10/22 on the other hand can't group under 2" @ 50yds with it. Goes bang and good enough for plinking but not too great in that rifle.

Ottawa LeBarons was selling them for $61.94 + tax (no club discount; already "on special"). I bought 2 buckets :D

Prices have gone up, they used to go for 58.99, I've gone through 2 buckets so far.

Staff said there was a guy from the US who was pissed. He said they where selling for $150 in many stores in the states and was really annoyed that he couldn't buy any of them here since he doesn't have a PAL.

Winchester Wildcats also went up. I have boxes with stickers that say $17.xx, some that say $21.xx, and now they're $23.xx (I forget the xx parts).

If you can find it the m22 is better as far as bulk 22 in my opinion. I also have a bucket of this stuff and it seems to be alright through my ruger mark 2 but I think the accuracy isnt as good,

Funny you mentioned it...Canadian tire finally got bulk 22lr in stock so I went to pick it up today and sure enough they were sold out. Store rep said a man from the states picked up all of it. I get that its first come first served and all, but I kinda hope he gets nailed by CBP if he is coming up here to bring it back to the states.

Agreed. a bit dirty but it works for me in my buckmark and my 10/22...only thing i really hate is that golden coating sucks!! it gets all over everything

Exactly! But it works. Not my favourite stuff, but it's cheap stuff that gets me through a day of plinking.

I've found them to be a pretty consistent load. The last case of Winchester Wildcats would vary quite a bit with some rounds barely ejecting the spent casing on my 22/45, while some casings go flying - all within the same mag of ammo.

One time me and a friend wanted to go to the range before it closed and went to walmart for 22 and wildcats were all that were left on the shelves so I bought some and after shooting it realized why it was all that was left.
