Now there is an interesting point. Remington has the firing pin block while Ruger has a titanium firing pin instead? Which would you rather deal with folks. Just curious.

Personally, being a traditionalist when it comes to 1911's, I tend to avoid any with a firing pin block safety in them. I've owned a couple Series 80 Colts in the past [Gold Cup Nat'l Match .45 ACP & Govt model in 9mm] but just prefer them without it. So far I have passed on owning a new Remington or even a Kimber mostly because of that.
So, to answer your question, I'd take the Ruger SR1911..... [already have one, actually].
