Anyone have an idea what my 2 .45's are worth?

Year of manufacture and caliber make a difference in value on the SAA.

Interesting, yes pictures would be nice. Do you have the box for the SAA? Can you give us a partial serial number, as they were made for 20 years, the older the better!

True and false, first it's not a 1911, it's a Government model; second it could have gone to war if it is one of the 5000 contracted Colts by the Canadian Government in 1914. By the serial number, I am very confident that it is one of those.

Unless the SAA is a black box, I am guessing closer to 3k.

I have 7 of the "Canadian Contract" Colts, one without 100% original parts and a worn finish can go for around $950-$1,000. All original parts and 98% finish can run you up to $4,000.00 Canadian dollars.


The "Standard Catalog of Military Firearms: The Collectors Price and Reference Guide (2013) lists the following prices in US dollars;

Fair: $850
Good: $1,200
V.G.: $1,800
Exc: $2,500
