New Tavor - Problems

I noticed that you have to let the charging handle slam back and not ride it. That's not the issue though as the misfires happen between rounds. I haven't done any work on the gun, shot it straight out the box so it's not a reassembly problem. Also tried some higher end ammo with the same results.

I'm going to take it back to the store next week. Hopefully they will take care of it.

The people that assemble these rifles make mistakes sometimes I'm sure. Field strip it clean it oil it (strip the bolt too) and then try it.

Are you sure its not a firing pin spring issue?

Every new firearm should be fully stripped and cleaned before shooting it. Sometimes there is grease where there shouldn't be or some crud from manufacturing that didn't get cleaned out before assembly.
You may actually have a problem with the rifle but you should at least strip it and properly clean and lube it then try again before coming on the forums.

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted out.

Hey! Your back!

some of my mags wont seat on a closed bolt ether , they have to be pinned just right for that to work and a fair amount are not .. Even most fully loaded 30 round mags wont seat on a closed bolt this is why in the military they only load AR mags to 29 or 28 rounds .

What ammo are you shooting? My Tavor shoots every ammo fine except Norinco, i tried over 30 types . It short strokes with Norinco 55gr about 5% of the time . all other ammo is 100% never had a hicup so im guessing its the china poo ammo and not my rifle .
