Hey guys~just wondering what you're using for winter camo. I'm thinking of breaking-up the winter with a little crow shooting, but don't own any winter/snow camo. What do you use? Also, I'm a big guy...so the chances of pulling something off the rack at Bass Pro that fits is pretty slim. Found an online, US operation that sells something that would probably work, just wondering if there is something this side of the border you might recommend.

Links welcome!

thanks.

I find this stuff pretty effective - its comfortable and not noisy.
They likely have big guy sizes as well.

Depends for me. I am either MO Winter Breakup jacket with Realtree Hardwoods pants/bibs if I am standing along the tree line / field edges or full MO Winter Breakup.

As in my avatar pic (from 2004) I had the RT pants on with a super thin shell of a jacket in RT Winter Hardwoods. After I was in a Mossy Oak hunting video back in 2006 0r 2007and was given free camo , I am a MO guy. The quality of their line of clothing is great and its been put thru hard hunts in all fall and winter weather. My winter MO jacket and pants are the fleece type I where over other winter outerwear.

The only other camo I bought was last fall and I was in Cabelas and seen their Zonz Woodland and bought a set in their waterproof line. I loved the looks of it. Worked great at moose camp last year. Great for a rain set or light weight gear if weather warms up.

I have Open Country Seclusion. Its from Cabelas and I just pull it over my regular hunting clothes. It seems to do the job, I have had coyotes nearly run me over while calling. It was cheap too, About $80 for jacket and pants.

I bought some Mothwing winter from Sportsmans Guide a number of years ago, because it was a great price.

I've got some pretty fancy dancy kit. Better off wearing it in church than in the field. If your in alberta keep it simple. Go buy yourself a pair of lined carhart bib pants wash them a few times to dull them up a bit. I bought a white anorak from empire canvas tan on the bottom white on top. It's been working for 20 years so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I use "All-Whites" and Realtree AP Snow... covers open country and brush... movement (or rather, the lack of it) is the key though...

I used to wear an old surplus white lab coat, a really oversized one, over my cold weather stuff. Now I'm too grown up for that to work and anyway I'd be scared to look like a meth cooker. What I have now is an off-white cotton camo poncho from the old Soviet empire, just like in the movies. White with subtle blotches of dark green. Take me to the taiga and give me my C 8, I'm ready.
