Just looking in another note book. This one from away back, when I was trying every concoction of powder, and bullet lubrication, in an attempt to get speedy but accurate loads in a 30-06, with hard cast gas check bullets.
I saw where I had shot 3 groups using 16.5 grains of H110 and the groups all went from 2 1/4 inch to 2 3/4 inch at 100 yards. This was very consistent, plus the 30-06 I was using had close to an 8 pound trigger and in general was not well tuned. Any group around 1 1/2 inches with that outfit was a darn good group.
All in all, I can't figure out where all the talk about H110 not being a powder to load down, comes from.
