So as I am enjoying fondling my new colt le6920 I taught what a deal from IRG, before it arrive I had read on internet bad reviews regarding fit of the upper to lower and finish (scratch and handling marks) I am happy to report the fit and finish on the colt is prestine!
Here is a poor side by side ( the other pic are better)
A shot of the dd receiver with very clean laser engraving
Here is the le6920 his also flawless but the engraving are not laser cut and are less precise.
Other side, dd then colt
Buffer tube, dd with six position and is fairly tight, second the 4 position colt with significantly more play then the dd!
Inside the receiver on top dd with the hollowed out receiver and colt with the reinforced receiver ( I did not know this difference, but I don't think it makes much difference)
Dd on the left colt right, the dd seems to have slightly thicker wall on the receiver.
Almost identical fa bcg, colt top dd bottom.
Dd chamber, feed ramp and inner upper view. Notice the coating.(sorry for the bad quality pic)
Colt seem uncoated
So all and all, 2 amaizing ar15, both milspec! Witch one is better??? Well I would say the dd has a cold hammer forge barrel, coated internal and better buffer tube, but about the barrel how much do you expect to shoot it? 4000-5000 round? Well your never going to see the end of the colt. Yes the dd has a bit more but is also a bit more money!
At 998$ us dollar this colt was a steal! The guys that got th ddm4v1 for 1000$ can got a even better deal but to me those two guns are awsome and both keepers and I would add then I the long run in 40-50 years the colt will probably be worh more it is the kind of gun you ould call a earloom gun.
