What about a non restricted .22lr handgun?

We need to stop researching loopholes and settle for nothing less than a new law on this that gets rid of the current classification system. We are not criminals. We should be able to discharge pistols wherever it is legal to discharge a rifle.

Is there any way the rod could be pointed on the end? This would rock for bowhunters ... Are mag changes an issue ? Or is it single shot ? I would probably buy one when the frt clears so I could keep it in my bow case .

It's handgun no matter what you do to it. The FRT will never clear, and even if it did, it would still be a handgun! One a handgun, always a handgun, and handguns are ALWAYS restricted or prohibited.

Even if it was a restricted arrow I am still in for one when the frt clears, unless it could be a full auto arrow in which case I would have to seriously reconsider adding another prohib to the stack... ;)

May thinking about build a non restricted pistol in .22lr.I would like to buy a restricted pistol and make it non restricted by adding PERMANATELY length to it.Like weld a rod in the back. And may be sell them to people who not want a restricted class.Or people who wants to practice pistol everywhere.I tape a rod to my 92 fs to verify to length and i will be ok with 26 inch total. Good idea or not???

That picture scares me.

Two more objections to add to those that have been raised:
1) recoil could impale your arm or chest. Of course all you need to do is add something to the end.
2) if you can weld a piece on, the buyer -- who will not be registered with the police -- can cut it off.

That picture is of a Ruger 10/22 RIFLE, that has an 8 in barrel on it. It was and is a rifle.
