So let the "end users" chime in. The GA is the winner cost wise, just wondering about the performance on a 10.5 AR.

I got the M2SD II (non-flash comp) and like it a lot. Really controlls muzzle rise on my 12.5" AR. I hear it's a clone off the Battle Comp.

This.
I run GA M4SD II on my 14.5" and works great. I believe it was designed for this length barrel and longer. For anything shorter, the non flash comp may be better (and cheaper) as you won't see any flash reduction on that short a barrel anyway.

Not a permanent end user here, but I've built a couple uppers with griffins, one 16 and one 11.5. The 16 inch midlength doesn't have a ton of flash(ammo depending of course), and it comped well. On the 11.5 it was mental...major fireballs and a #### ton of concussion, however it still comped well. I prefer to use flash hiders on sbr's, and I still prefer brakes over comps. I have yet to try a battle comp. I would defindtly give the griffin a nod.

How would you compare the GA to a Surefire muzzle break?, and I've been comparing the GA Flash/comp to the Precision Armament AFAB?, they have a new model coming out in a few weeks, it's designed for shorter barrels?. Thanks for the input BTW. Cheers

I run a smith vortex and it emits almost zero flash from a 10.5. Same with the AAC blackout.

Personally, since in Canada we can't legally own suppressors I would buy the lantac dragon over the surefire. Not that the surefire doesn't work. It works very well, the griffin also does a really good job. The MK13 AAC brakes are excellent as well. I've used MK13's on 9" 300's, and a few 5.56 uppers as well with great success as far as recoil reduction.

I pretty much use all AAC Blackouts, however on my 11.5 AA upper I can't get the piston out, it won't clear the hider. I'm giving the GA try.

I take it you have the blackout thats suppressor mountable and the piston won't clear the teeth?

Here's a "first look" at another option, EFAB. Looks good and the companies AFAB gets good reviews as well.
