I bet there are vast quantities of it. It can't be disappearing very quickly - the only firearm that shoots it is the TT33 to my knowledge. The TT33 is common here in Canada but not in US anymore and I don't think the surplus is allowed for sale in US anymore either. So that leaves us Canadians with access to a cheap and abundant round for a creative canadian supplier to base a new Destroyer Carbine around. An extremely short 12" plus barrel would be awesome, with OAL just over 26". From what I've read there's no point having a longer barrel from a ballistics standpoint (muzzle energy for this round is fully transferred to bullet in short barrels). I think a rifle like this would be a definite hit. You can put whatever mag on it you want - I would definitely buy one
(or two).
 
Any NR Carbine project and even this pistol is somewhat dependant on cheap surplus.

The price of 7.62X25 has gone up and mostly stayed up or sold out......while the 7.62X39 has gone up and then come back down to previous pricing and is available.
 
Found some more x25 at just under $0.15/round. Unfortunately Canada Ammo seems to be out of stock at the moment. Will you guys (Canada Ammo) be getting more surplus in? I'd love to buy from you especially if your going to keep bringing us these unique firearms!
 
I seem to recall the 2200 round cases being around $250 or so......@15cents a round that would be $330.00

I'm sure Canada Ammo has some insight on the current and future availability and price forecast.

That may have been the past(the cheap part) for the Tok rounds.......I guess it's all relative.
Still good advice though and there is no doubt that it won't last forever..... I'm just wondering if Can Am has his eyes on a big pile and if the prices will ever be as competitive as they are right now for the 7.62X39.

I'm just going to be right up front with ya, why were a bunch of extra mags not included with the shipment of these pistols?

Winter/Spring (as a guess) is a really really long wait.

Are there any other mags we could use in the pistol to see if they will function with it till then?

Because they were not able to make them in time. We did not even get all the guns we ordered, and the shipment was almost 6 months delayed as it was.

What you should do is simply including only one mag with the pistol. Then sell the other at 50 dollor per piece :)

Canadaammo?

I want to make a buy but am curious on if you guys can score some better priced surplus ammo 2280 crates? Possibility?
