Yet another bear attack

Apparently some of the big oil exploration companys won't allow firearms in the remote camps for any reason..

I believe you're right. However, in some of the areas north of Bowron Lake and especially along the Bowron River, when the tree planters/reforestation crews were working in there, they were accompanied by an individual with a rifle. Protection of the crew in the event of Grizzly 'situations' or encounters was his mandate.

I don't see why they can't provide at least that level of protection for all workers in bear areas.

I knew it lol

Do you two live together? Because you always post in the same threads, hell, pretty much every thread, and it's almost always back to back. I figure you either live together, or coordinate yourselves to post in the same threads, or one of you just follows the other around and says "Yeah, he's right!" in every thread. And you've been doing this for a long, long time. I'm just curious. It either all makes sense or is really creepy. Or it's both.

It was Bella Twin, a woman of Indian ancestry. We are referring to a grizzly bear here and it was in the 1950s in the Swan Hills district of Alberta.

Not sure where you pulled that polar bear story from??

He's like a vulture that circles around constantly with his non informative remarks just posting on anything and everything with no knowledge on most topics.
Anything to be the number one post whore on CGN, it must get tiring.

sorry to hear. I just hope these guys that always say you have a much greater chance of being stuck by lightning 3 times than being attacked by a bear get the message!

No contest here. Sunray has been hanging out on CGN for 10 yrs and averages about 5.75 posts per day. "dj" has been here for 2 yrs and averages 38 posts a day; mind you, his posts contain a lot fewer key strokes. Quality of input beats quantity. Like mom used to say, "if you have nothing useful to say, say nothing".
