Sightron STAC vs s111

I'm looking at both of them in 1-7x just wondering differences in price and specs

Have you tried the Sightron website for the specs?
How about Mystic Precision? They also list the Canadian retail price.
Gonna have to do a little leg work yourself or the guys are going to jump down your throat, people are getting tired of having to spoon feed new guys.

Good luck

ahhh c, mon now, don't be like that, I bet if we wanted to talk about that awesome ! 300 blackout you built, you would have no trouble spoon feeding us, maybe even change our diapers. :) ... ( just joking)...Brian

I've been researching for a month now, and decided on this , until I read a review on AR15.com, the guy did a review of all the compact scopes and the sightron 111 has a couple issues, I'm gonna look at the hilux 1x4 or the leupold 1x6.

The STAC is brand new and there isn't much information on it yet.... The only thing I see is reticle choice and exposed turrets.

Probably not many differences, both should have the same great glass and be very similar other than what you see on the spec sheet.
I have an SIII 6-24 and it's been great so far and the glass is clear enough to compete with my Nightforce shooting at 1000 yards.

Wasn't trying to be rude but what he asked for in the original post is all readily available with a few clicks of the mouse. Had he asked for opinions from guys that have played with both I'm sure Jerry would have been in here to tell him all about it.

Brian,
No diaper changing anymore, I'm way past that point in life :)
I like that Leupold 1-6 but they sure are expensive. I think there are better deals to be had.
From what I've seen of Sightron you really can't go wrong with one. Probably one of the best scopes for the money on the market no matter which model you buy. Great glass, accurate repeatable turrets, light weight, good warranty. What more do you want? Can't pound nails like you can with a Nightforce but I can afford a hammer or two with the money I save going with Sightron.

STac is made in the Philippines, the SIII in Japan. I've only read one review of the STac so far (snipershide) and it didn't track properly so the user sent it back. Doesn't seem to be many in use right now.

Check UK forums and posts. STACs are very popular over there.

Same goodness, lower labour costs.

More features for the costs.

I have played with MANY sightrons under very intense needs - competition and LR shooting - they track superbly. So if 1 person says his scope didn't work, that is not the norm.

Jerry

Jerry I'm leaning pretty hard towards the STAC 1-7 myself. Any idea on when they may be in stock / price? I checked your website a few days ago and never saw any listed.
