Has anyone tried to mount this peep sight on a Henry 22LR lever action's receiver dovetail groove?

It seems like it may be low enough to use with the issue front sight (which I don't want to replace) but I am reluctant to spend upwards of $100 (with shipping) only to find out that it doesn't fit or sits too high.

Thanks!

If you're considering the Skinner receiver mounted peep sight you "may" have to go with a taller front sight post.......

Based on what I've read online, Skinner receiver mounted peep sight does require a taller front sight post on Henry 22LR lever action (the regular model, not Magnum, Golden Boy, etc.). But the rifle has a hooded front sight, so it's not just the matter of raising the post itself, the whole front sight assembly would have to be modified or possibly replace, which I am reluctant to do because of the cost and hassles.

If you go NECG get the rimfire model and plan on getting a new front sight because usually with any peep you need to adjust the front sight.

The rimfire model looks like this,

I forgot about the goofy Henry front sight/base.
They do make a metal sight band that some people have modified to accept dovetail front sights but it's a project....
