My Uberti Silverboy

Hey guys thought I'd post this up. I recently was looking for a lever action 22 as I want to get into SASS shooting and would like a "cheap" practice gun. I was looking at the Henry Goldenboy however the stores I went to didn't have the greatest feedback so I bought a Silverboy. The lack of information or videos on it was sorta surprising so I made a couple quick videos.

I'm no expert by any means but if anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I can try and answer as best I can.
 
I bought one of these for the girlfriend for Christmas, went out in search of a golden boy but was so impressed with the feel and how smooth the uberti was (and man is it ever puuurrddy) I ended up taking this home instead. In my opinion they are worth the price.
 
brandon6976...nice rifle and good review! I also considered the Silverboy when I went shopping for a .22lr lever but never made the trip up to Epps to check one out. I handled a Browning Bl-22 locally and ended up buying one BNIB off the EE for a fair price.
Is the Silverboy the same size as the Henry Golden Boy? Is yours picky on ammo? Which range do you shoot at...was wondering if the safety vest is manditory.

thanks, the silverboy is actually the same size however slightly lighter, I personally would prefer the weight of the henry as i'm trying to get practice for my 1873 in 357 which is obviously heavier so would prefer the heavier feel. It's not picky on ammo at all. I put about 6 or so types of ammo through it from bulk winchester, federal and a couple different variations as well as the nicer CCI stinger and it shot it all very well with no misfires and accurately.

I shoot at GRGC and Colby but that video was from GRGC, the vest was cause I was the RSO.

Been enjoying a Silverboy myself. Seems to be a quality build and lots of fun to plink with.

My only complaint is there's not lot of information concerning cleaning from Uberti. Have you ever disassembled the action to perform a more thorough cleaning than just running brushes & patches through he bore?

Every bothered with a scope?
 
I have been searching online for the info. of how to disassembly and clean it, but I could not find anything useful. Only one owner from other forum mentioned that CSR from Uberti did not suggested to disassembly by owner after he contact Uberti. This has become discouraging. I am in a dilemma in buying it or other brands.

Do you have anything new recently?

I'm afraid not. Uberti has been non-communicative, never once responding to an email. I've tried 3 different email addresses to date.

For what it's worth, the Silverboy remains a great shooter. Very solid and accurate. It's also an attention grabber at the range and usually prompts a discussion.

After shooting, I run a bore snake through it a couple of times and wipe down what I can with an lightly oiled rag. It's showing no signs of slowing down. I suppose if there's ever a catastrophic failure with the rifle I'll likely be on my own. Such a pleasure to shoot, though - on the fence of whether or not I'd recommend it to one and all...
