Handled a NYS "Compliant" AR yesterday

the lack of pistol grip is a joke... does the degree of angle determine a pistol grip? could you not make an AR grip.. that attaches to a fixed stock somehow instead of the long rifle grip look?

No thumbhole grips either. That is why the buffer tube and stock are not connected. Right now it is an angled grip with a gap between the buffer tube and grip. Connect the buffer tube and stock, and you have a really big thumbhole....... and evilness will ensue.
