I'm open to any assault rifle platform. The ACR is a good gun if I owned one I would definitely change the buttstock cause I do not like them at all.
I would suggest you revisit your definition and understanding of these firearms.

It's a caliber I've always wanted and with a lot of wild hog living in Saskatchewan I want a gun that will definitely stop them.
I just got mine from Herron arms in 450 BushmasterDammit, Stop that! I did not need to know that lol. Now there goes my savings! The thoughts of hunting with an ACR makes me drool... I gotta stop reading random posts hah.

just on ammo availability alone I would say look at the 450 Bushmaster round, remington and hornady both have factory ammo out for it.It's a caliber I've always wanted and with a lot of wild hog living in Saskatchewan I want a gun that will definitely stop them.
the 450 has better velocity and ftlbs in the same bullet weight along with factory ammo availability.
going to heavier bullets at a lower velocity gives you what advantage exactly? I know it reduces the effective range. With only a smaller selection of bullets. Once you leave 325 grain behind you cannot compare the two.
for what caliber?Who has the 5 round mags in Canada?????

just curious since this thread was about hunting with the caliber.
because currently that is 300Blk and I intend on using my 450 for moose and Elk as well as deer inside of 200yds. For me the performance is just not there for the larger game.So why even use the restricted platform for any plus 30 caliber bullet diameter in the AR?
That's a better question here regarding hunting.
The 450 Bushmaster sounds pretty boss until you look at the bullet diameter and jacket spec's compared to any other rifle that takes a .458 rifle bullet.
The Bushmaster actually is more of a pistol cartridge with just more juice. The 458 SOCOM feeds more abundant rifle bullets (Much like the 45-70) from the get go.
Come on now, you cannot even come close to comparing the more numerous .458 versus .451 bullet choices.
my two bits only
I so want a .458 Socom but it is so hard to find ammo
It is basically a reload only caliber like the 50 Beowulf
if they listed some sureOh ok so you can find bullets and brass for it. Can't you just import the ammo from the U.S. Through IRUNGUNS
the Armalite Rifle platform is very adaptable to many calibers
