Interesting. I was watching a WWII show last night. Russians carrying SKS rifles with bayonets extended were herding German POW's. Must have been some of the earliest SKS rifles.

And only 1 in 3 made it back, apparently. SKS was used against Germans in 1945, I assume this footage was from then.

The SKS as well as the RPD saw action in the closing stages of WW2 so it is entirely possibly that the footage is from then

btw, that blonde separatist is pretty cute looking with that rifle lol

I wonder were those uniforms came from. Looks as if the ProRus have new stuff. While the Ukraine volunteers have old surplus uniforms. One guy is wearing an old Soviet sniper suit.

I have a friend (former co-worker) from former USSR. He was talking to another German co-worker who had lost his Dad on the Russian front (during the war, not after)
The German guy mentioned that, and the young USSR guy said "You broke it, you fix it. When its all fixed, you can go. We didnt invite you here"
