kidd 6" barrel

Would this barrel even legal on a 10 22 in Canada. Because the advertising is for.the charger pistol. I don't want to get into OAL.

Description
•10-22 charger accessory
•10-22 pistol barrel
•0.920" diameter
•muzzle threads 1/2"-28
•thread protector included

Nope, ain't gonna happen, it's also advertised for the charger.

What does the fact that it's for a charger have to do with anything? Charger mags are a totally different issue and are available if you want to pin them to 10 rounds. I don't know what difference a barrel has in regards to charger or not. Lots of people have factory 10" charger barrels on their 10/22 tactical rifles and the only restrictive factor on a 10/22 rifle is the OAL. Am I wrong? If so please correct me

Yes it's a pistol barrel. Is it illegal to own a pistol barrel? No. Put it on your rifle and as long as it's still 26" from stock (fully collapsed) to muzzle (flash hider not included) then your rifle is still non restricted

totally legal in canada.
its a pistol barrel of the Ruger Charger and those are legal in canada.

you get caught with it on a rifle and your under 26 1/4" then you loose.
interesting question would be is it legal to put the charger barrel on a 10/22 at all even, even if your over length your still running a 'pistol' barrel on a rifle.

Put it on your 10/22 and bring it in for inspection and let us know the result's, please

AFAIK as long as the barrel is longer then 4.2" (in other words not a prohibited barrel), manufactured that length, and your overall length of the rifle is longer then 26" then it remains non restricted. A normal length 1022 stock with the forestock cut back to an overall length of 26 1/4 is almost flush with the end of an 8" barrel. Unless you have a shroud or something covering the end if you had a barrel shorter then the stock it may be hard on your fingers.

Wrong. Once you get below the 10 inch minimum in their books for a 1022 OAL length does come into play. I called to make sure. The tech sent me links even.

What is this 10" minimum you speak of? I asked the guy I talked to about a Dlask 8" with a hogue stock as a hypothetical and and he said good to go but I have no idea if that's the truth or not any more:( I wasn't going to build one anyways. All I really cared about was my TC with a 10" .357 bbl which according to the person I spoke to is non-restricted. I didn't notice before that the OP's is a 6" bbl advertised for a pistol but as you are allowed the 10" Charger bbl on a rifle I really don't have a clue what the'll say. From now on I am just going to phone and ask on any specific build I am planning.
