Magazine for Steyr

Anybody on here know where you can get a magazine for a Steyr model S.
Apparently they are hard to get.
Did see a couple old ads on Ebay for them but they were sold months ago.
Sent North Sylva a PM as they are Canadian distributor but I don't think the S model is current production so mags may be unavailable.

The Model S is not new production, quit some time ago when the SBS line was brought out around 1993.
Western Gun Parts had some listed, not sure which ones.
Going to PM you Varminter, I am in need of one for a 257 Wtby.

Yep, I was thinking the same That was a screaming good deal, congrats if it was you, Mike!

I did a bit of searching for magazine info when I saw the ad... from what I can tell, US customers have been buying spare mags directly from the importer, although availability in 2014 has been sketchy. There's a fellow in Canada, I believe his last name is O'Dell?, who imports the Steyr SSG rifles. He may be worth contacting to see if he can source you a magazine for the Model S --- do a search here for his info, or hopefully someone else can post if if they know off hand.

Yeah, that was me.
I couldn't resist.
The old S model hasn't been made for awhile so it may be tough sledding to find one.
They do come up on Ebay from time to time but the S wasn't imported in any numbers to the U.S. from what I've read.
Either way I will find one eventually.
Two sold last year on EBAY, NEW OLD STOCK for $80 apiece U.S.
