Boyd’s Tacticool stock in colour laminate

I have looked on google and in the other Boyd’s threads but cant find many pics of the Tacticool model scope in colour laminate. Does anyone have one or pics of one? Thank you.

I looked more on their website and you are correct. It says "no international orders." Strange they export their other stocks and not this one. No wonder I'm having trouble finding photos.

Thanks for telling me.

I looked into it more, the Tacticool stocks are labeled not for international ordered because they are over $100. You can get them in Canada because our export limit is $500.

Boyd's Website said:
International Buyers: Due to language barriers, please create your own account to assure accurate address and payment info is provided.

Please note current limits and restrictions on international orders:

- TactiCool stocks & AR-15 parts CANNOT be exported!

- Orders with a FOREIGN BILL TO ADDRESS & DOMESTIC SHIP TO ADDRESS will NOT be processed!

- Rifle orders with a product value over $100.00 CANNOT be exported (excluding Canada). There is no value limit on Shotgun stocks & Forends.

- Brownells Acraglas Gel Glass Bedding Kit, Spruh Konig, Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil Finish Kit, & Wheeler Inletting Black CANNOT be exported due to the flammable nature of these products.

I want a Tacticool for my Mark 2.

On the product page itself; those over $100 are labeled "not for international sale." All the Tacticool stocks under $100 do not have such an indication on their product page.

I disagree. The $92 Tacticool for a savage mark 2 says this:

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS FOR THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

In addition to what I posted above.

I'll check the link on the savage, all the other ones I was looking at were attached to the price point of $100. I could be wrong. But it would make little sense for a vender to ship 1 stock and not another internationally. There are lots o crazy gun laws though.

The reason it says Tacticool and AR-15 parts is because they've been ordered not to export them, due to the advanced military technology built into Tacticool stocks. Bollox's comment was on point.

Corlane's said they could get them still. Whether true or not, they quoted $230. I'd rather paint a Rimfire Hunter black myself and save the money I think. Not sure the Rimfire Hunter has the same comb height though.

The info on this thread is all wrong... the Tacticool stock has been listed by ITAR as a restricted for export item... it cannot be shipped regardless of color... and the export limit is not $100... it was raised to $500 last year (total merchandise value not including shipping)... I have made numerous orders of $300-$500 from Boyd's since the change with no problem. No distributor can export the Tacticool stock legally... not until Boyd's successfully appeals the restriction with ITAR and that appears very low on their priority list.

IRG.com can import it for you... Im actually looking at that option myself. I would import 6 or 8 to split the cost of import (200$) and then sell the other ones.

I paid 275$ for my Boyds Tactical 10/22 stock . But i wanted it real bad... :p

There website has some conflicting information with some model Tacticools being labelled not for international shipping and others not having such a distinction on there product page. I am thinking its time to order one; one without the warning on it, and see if the order is processed. I will post what I find out.

I recently tried ordering their Tacticool stock and can confirm they will not ship them to Canada.

Always great to hear from someone who has tried it. The one you tried to order, did it say on the product page it would not ship international? It is probably not the case but I can think of other products where one is banned but a product that seems the same is allowed.

When they first came out I ordered one. Honestly I wasn't super impressed with it.

What did you put it on and what did you not care for it? I have a couple Boyds stocks on 10/22 and they seem ok, I want to try one on a Mosin Nagant and the tacticool one seems the most interesting, ridiculous name aside.

There was no warning on the specific product I ordered from. I made the order at the beginning of the summer during one of their sales. The order went through. The next day I received an e-mail from their customer service saying my order had been cancelled as no Tacticool stocks could be shipped internationally. I have one for my Ruger 10/22 from years ago and find it very well built. I guess I won't be getting one for my Savage. Oh well, I can still get a Choate stock.
