Dawson Precision Sights

Does anyone know where to source these in Canada? I would like to order a Dawson FO front sight for my 1911.

Don't mean to derail, but why Dawson as opposed to Truglo? Been looking at swapping out sights myself....

I have one on my sentry and it is a really nice size diameter. I think the Truglo are wider in diameter and I am not sure if they make the STI front dovetail size, but I haven't really looked at them

Who did you acquire them through as I was informed that Dawson will not ship to Canada?

They have 2 exporters listed on their site. Or you can go the US mailbox route with a prepaid US card I suppose. They won't take a Canadian CC online, haven't tried calling.

I tried both sponsors listed on their website, one says it will not ship them Canada and the other will require a phone call to see.

Good tip about Freedom Ventures, $15 shipping for a tiny $50 part though ...I'll call them and see if there is anything they can do about that.

Update: Neither exporter listed on Dawson's website will ship to Canada. Not for individual sales anyway.

Starting to give up on getting these anyone have any luck? Isn't worth paying IRG or another importer imo.

I was told that they dont have an export license so they cant ship outside of the USA

STI resells the Dawson sight they recommend for their guns, STI cut .100x.180 but that is the only one Freedom Ventures can get and they get it through STI not from Dawson.

Dawson sights are available in a variety of heights and widths. i have put the narrow ones on pistols to give me more white on each side of the front sight.

Have not found a Canadian source.

i ordered from freedom for my STI, hopefully have here this week, made it worthwhile
and got some mags too, i haven't seen the bill yet but i thought he charged $10
for shipping
