Where are the Howa 1500 Varminter in Canada?

I don't understand why they are not easy to find here in Canada, the Howas are popular in the States here a link to the US distributor http://www.legacysports.com/hogue-heavybarrel-varminter

Prophet River have one in 22-250 but many with the Axiom stock but I don't like this stock.

Yes I know but they are hard to find here in Canada and I don't know why.

That's where my howa came from, when I lived in GP. Not sure why the rifle isn't more popular. Maybe the distance from Japan to Canada is too much.

One of the main difference is the bolt body gas escape holes are not drilled at the same place.

eh, I got an xbolt to hunt with this year, apparently made in japan as well. I guess I like japanese rifles.
