Kinda thinkin the same thing. If the bolt is badly damaged, whats the breech look like?
Is it actually damaged or missing altogether? Sometimes guys like me store the collectors items with the bolts removed from the rifle and premises to lower the theft value.
Ok this is the story. My buddy bought a 54 izzy refurb sks from a guy for $150. The guy that sold the rifle threw in a 91/30 that he said had a damaged bolt. he also said the gun got damaged by his friend shooting it , he tried slamming the bolt closed , as he slammed it, the round fired, blew back the bolt and just about took off his hand. He took the gun home 8 months ago did not clean it and has been sitting ever since. parts of the gun are rusty from not cleaning after shooting corrosive. as far as damage I don't see any. It should just need a complete disassembly, a good scrubbing and re oiling. and obviously checking the firing pin with the go/no go tool. So basically my buddy just got a 91/30 mosin and a sks for $150!!! I do not see any damage at all. We are going to clean it up and take it with us to the range to test next time out.
I'd be taking a close look at the trigger pack, given what you're describing. The Mosin has a very sturdy firing pin spring, and I would be concerned about poor sear engagement with the trigger, which could result in the scenario described.
A lot of people mess with the trigger on Mosins, to try and make them lighter/smoother/crisper... 95% of the people who mess with triggers, don't actually know what they're doing. If that's the case with your Mosin, it might be a trigger pack you're after, and nothing to do with the bolt at all.
Its funny you mention that because we noticed the trigger seemed kinda loose. not creepy like the other mosins we have. just like there is no tension on the trigger then a crisp break. thanks for the info . I will take a closer look at that.

But do they ship the Canada?
It depends... I ordered some Enfield parts from them a couple weeks ago... some things they sent, some things they would not ship outside the US, and it was pretty random as to what got sent.
You can also try the EE, or send an inquiry to Westrifle or Corwin-Arms.
Dollars to donuts says there is a washer shim under the sear spring. On ebay you can find the kits to make a 2 stage trigger on the Mosin Nagant. They consist of a washer shim which lowers the sear/spring in relation to the receiver, and a clothespin style spring that goes over the pin that holds the trigger in place, which is supposed to place a little bit of tension on the trigger as you pull through what has become a long creepy "first stage" until you get to a crisp brak on the "second stage". If the clothespin type spring is not installed, the trigger has no tension in the first stage.
I tried shimming a mosin trigger in this way. It seemed dangerous to me. I would take that trigger assembly apart if I were you. It also might be that someone bent the spring trying to do a trigger job. In any case, be careful.
