I've never tried a revolver, so I thought I'd try one today and my guest visit to range (still waiting on RPAL!), the loaner .357 was damaged so I took a nice 6" 629 to try.
Wow, scary for first few rounds, but geez what fun! I even managed semi-tight groups at 7m! Made my SP-01 feel like a .22 lol

Then, I bought an M&P 22, out of the 8 .22's they had for sale, it felt best in my hands.. shoots great too! Only bad thing is it comes with just 1 mag.

Next gun will be a 686 6", or the 327 they had, although I am not sure if a lightweight revolver is the way to go.

Lightweight revolver in Canda = not much sense: you won't take advantage of it for CCW and you'll have more felt recoil, especially with full power 357. I'd consider the 627 over the 327.

I got bit the revolver bug 6 months ago and now have K22, 586 and 627; my semiautos are being negleted to the back of the safe!

You won't regret a 686/586 with a 6" barrel. That revolver is a joy to shoot. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 4.2" either. The balance is just about perfect in my hands.

Confused.

The guns are kept at club, not officially mine until I receive my RPAL, so think of it as I made a 100% deposit on them :)

This is so awesome. I'm guessing your club has a store on site? I can only imagine the joy of being able to replenish your stock after 'accidentally' shooting through all your ammo then being able to saunter over to the store, buy a few hundred rounds, then keep on shooting. *Siiigh*

Just about every indoor range sells guns and ammo. I'm pretty sure that's where he was at.

This is how my range works as well. At least during store hours. This is the reason that I try to go after store hours... way too expensive otherwise. Especially when it's revolver day. I can't help myself, I love shooting .357s.

so the owner of the range told me to call RCMP, since its been 66 business days since they received my application. I called, spoke to a very nice lady, told me it was in the hands of the Quebec Firearms Officer, she transferred me there, nice gent told me they just had to call my references, and that would happen in next 48 hours... just got a call from a nice lady from the Quebec Provincial Police, she asked me the same questions that were on form, said thanks, and my RPAL will be in the mail today.

I am very happy, best case I receive it this week, Monday I can go do the small courses at my range and become a member!
