Pistol powder= Not Available

I've emailed Hummason as they don't list stock on their website. Should I just call maybe?

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Zero powder and a ton of .45 and 9mm brass, projectiles and primers.

Try Lebaron. I got 3 lbs Titegroup 2 months as go. It was quite a wait. I was in their wait list for at least 3 different powder for pistols. They called me as soon as it arrived. Pricing was good. But you have to be patient.

Buddy of mine was heading to the cottage and stopped by Cabelas. Said he scored me some Titegroup! I should buy a lottery ticket!

I was in there a week ago or so and they had lots of powder... Lots of Hodgdon (~12 different ones), Lots of IMR (~10 different ones) and 4-5 Winchester offerings. I picked up a couple of pounds of something I wanted along with a few other things.

Yup. Spoke to my buddy this AM and he said the same thing. The clerk told him they only got 8lbs of Titegroup a week ago. One guy bought a bunch and some guy called in an put one on hold but never showed up for it.

I just got this from Prophet River (A big thanks to fingers284 for the heads-up:cheers:).
Quick processing and shipping by Purolator was under $40. It's a world economy, so if I can bypass the fornicating in circles that's happening in the US, so be it. If this works out well for my reloads, I'll keep buying it.

That's what I use.... Once you use 3N37 going back to flake is impossible.... I've got 2 pounds left and will be calling Prophet in the AM....

I was in the Rugerforum earlier and they're saying pistol powder is really hard to find in the US, too.

You guys need to think outside the box.
If your desperate for something to shoot in your pistols----talk to some old shotgunners. You'd be surprised that a good deal of shotgun powder is extremely versatile. Stuff like 700x can be used in almost all pistol calibers--can't find a recipe? Look in OLDer manuals, lots of shotgun powders used. Talk to OLDer guys, they've been thru either nonavailability; or just can't afford more than one type of powder. Shotgun powders do double duty with pistol calibers. Its kept me shooting when more modern powder isn't available.
