I run the Eotech, a Aimpoint Micro T1 and a Trijicon Reflex. The Trijicon sucks with low light but does not need batteries. The Eotech is great but battery life is short compared to the T1. T1 issue is the dot gets fuzzy when intensity increases. Also the business end of the T1 reflects a red glow when hit by light...if that is an issue for you. These are all $500 or less red dots. There are others like Burris but I have no experience with them.
I have a T1 and I agree about the fuzzy with intensity, haven't had a chance to try an Eotech.
EOTech 512, Primary Arms 3x magnifier with Samson 30mm quick flip mount. Personally the EOTech works great for me and the PA magnifier is great quality and inexpensive or even free!
Same thing! I think fuzziness is endemic to this price range of red dots. Just crank to the appropriate intensity setting and that should be fine. I have the same issue with the Leopold VR series lit reticle scopes too.
